Sacramento Helping Hands sponsors several successful events throughout the year that require much volunteer help in addition to sponsors and donors. Every hour that you donate as a volunteer impacts multiple lives. Every dollar you give enriches the lives of the community through the gift of the arts. There are opportunities of all sizes and for all ages to be a part of making a brighter future for others.
There is a very special population in our communities that often times goes unnoticed and even forgotten. These are the retired schoolteachers and military, former state workers and business pioneers of these neighborhoods. They are someone’s Dad, Mom, Grandpa, Grandma, Auntie, Uncle and our sweet senior citizen neighbors. Sacramento Helping Hands continues to honor this group and say thank you for paving the way through various Senior Services Program.
We love connecting those in need with resources that will enrich their lives through educational and recreational classes and seminars. Back to School Bash and Adopt a Family for Christmas are two examples of our passion for reaching families. Do you have a skill, trade or talent you would like to share with others? You can also give the gift of a scholarship or gift cards to those who need it most. These programs and events have had tremendous positive impact on families, giving them hope and a goal to be the ones giving back to others in need in the future.
This weekend FC Joyce elementary school is celebrating that no student will have to go to school without the necessary school supplies for the new school year.
